A Heartfelt Note from The Jinjer

Hey there! if you’ve made it this far down the page, it probably means this journey is already calling to you. So let me share what makes it so special, just as I would if we were sitting together over a cup of coffee.

This hike is my favorite in the whole world. Why? Because from Day 3 onward, we leave behind cars, roads, and the rush of everyday life. For five days, it’s just us, the mountains, and the rhythm of walking from one hidden village to the next. And yet, it’s never rough. Each evening, a cozy guesthouse welcomes us with warmth, hearty homemade meals, and the kind of Georgian hospitality that makes you feel like family.

There’s no need to carry heavy loads or worry about what to eat. You only need fresh socks, a light pack, and an open heart. Towels, bedding, and even a little snack for the trail are always waiting. The days are filled with mountains, laughter, and stories, and at night we rest in comfort, ready for the next step of the journey.

On the last day, as we return from magical Ushguli back to Kutaisi, we realize something beautiful: together, we’ve completed a full geographical circle through the heart of the Caucasus. And this circle lies within the legendary lands of ancient Colchis — the kingdom of myth and saga, where history and storytelling flow as richly as the rivers we cross.

Thank you for reading this far, it means a lot to me. If you feel drawn to this adventure but still have questions or hesitations, please reach out. I’ll be here to answer you personally.

With love,
Jinjer 🌿
